How to Highlight Pdfs & Epubs and Annotate Them on Obsidian
An additional feature of obsidian
Obsidian is becoming more feature-rich with the addition of new plugins every other day. This is one of the strongest points of the obsidian app over others.
Recently I came across this plugin called Annotate, and I’ve fallen in love with it. It can be used to read epubs and pdfs, and highlight and annotate them. All the annotations and highlights are stored in local markdown format.
I’ve switched from reading books on my phone using Moon Reader to using obsidian. The advantage of a larger screen to read and being able to highlight and annotate quickly has helped a lot.
In this step-by-step guide, I will show you how you can read pdfs or Epubs and highlight & annotate them on obsidian.
Step:1 Installing the Plugin
Go to settings> Community plugins> and search for annotator. Install it and enable it.
Click on options. Here are a few settings that you may want to look for.
